Argox Receives Carbon Reduction Model Enterprise Award from New Taipei City Government

Argox, a leading manufacturer of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry, is proud to announce its recognition as a “Carbon Reduction Model Enterprise” by the New Taipei City Government. This award highlights Argox’s commitment to environmental sustainability and active participation in the “My Carbon Reduction ” initiative.

Argox employees embraced green transportation options, switching from cars and motorcycles to public transit and bicycles for commuting.

The initiative runs from April to December 2024. Within the three months from April to June 2024, Argox staff collectively reduced carbon emissions by 1,647.8 kg through use of public transportation, which was tracked via the EasyCard system, Taiwan’s most common reloadable smartcard for public transport.

Argox ranked second out of over 20 companies in the Xindian Baogao Science and Intellectual Park for its carbon reduction efforts.

“We’re honoured to receive this recognition, which reflects the dedication of our entire team to creating a more sustainable future,” said Hector Lin, President at Argox Information Co., Ltd. “This initiative demonstrates our employees’ dedication to reducing our environmental impact.”

Argox views this achievement as an important step in its ongoing commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals within the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company plans to continue expanding its sustainability efforts and encouraging eco-friendly practices.
